We have a log history with phpBB, ( so does T3 I've heard ;) )
Some told me that there is an excelt covertor for migrating to the T3 forum.

We have no other plans than to support the community. At this moment, as
someone pointed out to me, the forum is not running on typo3. We will
migrate to typo3 when our developers have enough confidence to do this
the proper way. We are total newbies with T3, so we had to mind the
time, security and performance issues.

No, TROS is a public broadcasting company. The Netherlands that results
in advertisement free product ( we can only advertise under very strict
conditions). So we can only support the typo3 community with this forum,
because typo3 is a Open Source product. We don't need to promote a
service. This is typo3 is in no way of any intrest for our customers.
Best Regards,
Niels
