Did you create your table by hand not using the kickstarte ? or did you rename it
afterwards ?

This is no good idead, cause Typo3 keeps record of the tablenames which are used in
another place than the DB also. There are TCA.php files (see tca.php in your ext-dir)
which contain a definition in php of each table which gets used under Typo3 ...

If you changed your table-name you will have to change it in some files of your extension.
just grep (search) for the old name and replace it everywhere ...
