[Typo3] tt_news - Images not showing

Hi,

it's probably a stupid question but I can't find the answer, so: I can 
attach images to news items and they show up as a preview in the 
BackEnd. The problem is, whatever image I attach, they never show up on 
the page itself, all I get the the ALT text framed by a 1px border. The 
<img> links look as follows:

<img src="" width="" height=""  border="0" alt="" title="" />

As you can see no src, width, height etc. in inserted. I didn't have 
problems configuring the rest of the whole news thing, but I can't find 
my mistake with the images.

Can someone point me to the right place to look pls?
