Scenario: 1a) I created a tca file "tx_myextension_domain_model_something" with all the usual tca stuff in it 1b) I forgot to define the create statement in the ext_tables.sql file 2) I went to the "Install Tool" and clicked the "Compare current database with specification" => the database analyser still gives me the option to create the table "tx_myextension_domain_model_something" but with only the l10n field Does this mean that it would be possible to define the whole db table via tca and the ext_tables.sql file would be obsolete? And I am just missing the knowledge to do so. This would be a nice thing since it eliminates an additional task. I am using Typo3 8.7.0 LTS. When I run the database analyzer with the described scenario it gives me the option to create the missing db table "tx_myextension_domain_model_something". Which it shouldn't because that table is not defined in the tca. More Infos: I am developing this in an extbase extension where I have the file "tx_myextension_domain_model_something.php" in the myextension/Configuration/TCA folder. Like you said, the database analyzer checks the ext_tables.sql file, where in my scenario I did NOT defined the "tx_myextension_domain_model_something" table. But the database analyzer still gives me this option: CREATE TABLE `tx_myextension_domain_model_something` (`l10n_state` TEXT DEFAULT NULL) DEFAULT CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci ENGINE = InnoDB From luberti at archicoop.it Mon Apr 10 14:05:08 2017 From: luberti at archicoop.it (Ivano Luberti) Date: Mon, 10 Apr 2017 14:05:08 +0200 Subject: [TYPO3-dev] How to keep a extbase extension compatible between TYPO3 versions In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: I guess you will be more succesful writing on one TYPO3 slack channel where all deves are concentrated today.
