So, now i tried it without the subfolder, and set the htroot to the folder where composer created the index.php

Still Fatal Error.

I am feeling completely lost but i dont want to forget it and manage dependencies via submodules.

i will try one more time with exactly this approach, if it still does not work i assume its a bug:
