[TYPO3-dev] Distribution images

Hi all

I've made a distribution for the Aimeos web shop extension (http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/aimeos_dist) and noticed that the Distribution.png and DistributionWelcome.png images are only shown if the distribution is already installed. When thinking again this comprehensible because the images are part of the distribution and are not available in the local file system before the distribution is installed.

Nevertheless, the distribution list view is a bit unattractive because of this. I think to remember that shortly after the release of TYPO3 6.2 the images for the introduction package have been shown even if the package wasn't installed yet.

Is there any possibility to fetch the distribution images from the TYPO3 server directly?
