Better than cachegrind output would be a xhprof dump (much smaller and
easier to dig into/transfer to someone else) of a call that takes time.
I did that recently and it was easy then to see what the problem was,
regardless of comparing the path in a previous version.
If you have xhprof, I would suggest to simply open a few tickets and
attaching the corresponding trace so that we can analyze and optimize.
