Hello Christian,

the 'UPDATE!" menu entry is not meant to update the extension from TER. 
It is for the update of the database table of the extension. This is 
used to insert values into the table. And these SQL INSERTs or SQL 
UPDATEs should be controlled by the extension's file class.ext_update.php.
