Not TYPO3 or Extbase related but:

If you want to post a input value you have 2 possibilities:
create a form and submit the form on click of a certain link
wehen clicking the link serialize the form inputs, add them to the querystring and request
If you dont want it to depend on javascript you have to use a form with a submitbutton to get the users form-inputs.
