It wasn't that hidden. The result list, was displayed directly with the extension.
Visibility was given.

Also before it was broken, it was not successful.

There where a hand full extensions with 5 stars. 
Not all of them worth 5 stars, but nobody dared to give less points,
because his voting was public. As a result people refrained from voting at all.

There are some good reasons, to do votings in the anonymity of polling booths.
