I'd be interested in that. Many hosts don't allow for the running of Solr  
as a separate entity and VPS / Cloud instances aren't always options for  
small budgets or developers, as the security and maintenance of them is an  
unacceptable overhead.

As a result, Indexed-Search still gets used. If there was a neat way of  
running Solr on shared hosting, or without the JAVA process overhead, that  
might sound the death-knell for Indexed Search.
