Hello,

I think that it is a bug if the TYPO3 FE shows correct umlauts and the 
BE cuts the texts off if they contain an umlaut. This happens when 
$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['SYS']['setDBinit'] = ''; in the file localconf.php .

What do you think about it?
