[TYPO3-dev] Troubles with submodules in Git

Can we clean out pending changes in Gerrit first, then introduce new 
submodules and then accept new changes? This would:

- increase the chances for reviews for 'old' changes waiting for reviews
- solve most problems when introducing new submodules

I personally have had too many problems with old changes messing up 
branches (to the point that I had to force the creation of a new master 
and TYPO3_4-5 branch). If a change doesn't apply cleanly or can be fixed 
by cherry picking I simply give up on it and leave it to people who 
actually enjoy playing with git.
