This is the main problem. There should be at least the post parameters

Don't worry, I have cloned the VM and set it online for you and anyone
other willing to investigate this further. I'll send you the access
instructions via email just now.

While putting the cloned VM online, I did observe some very *weird* things:
I created an additional admin account for you. The bug *does not* show up
for the newly created account, while it's still there if you use the old
old admin account.
Both admin account aren't really sharing the same display data about the
extensions:
The old account does not show extension categories on the "Available
Extensions" tab.
this could be a hint for the original problem... is it some bad user config?
