TSref says about transparentColor:
- NOTE: You may experience that this doesn't work if you use 
reduceColors-option or render text with niceText-option.
- transparentColor.closest = 1 : This will allow for the closest color 
to be matched instead. You may need this if you image is not garanteed 
"clean".

So it is documented that transparentColor may or may not work with 
niceText active. You can use the transparentColor.closest option to 
solve problems with colours not matching exactly with the color code you 
defined as being transparent.
