OS/2 is still alive as eComStation.
http://www.ecomstation.com/

There is an active community with yearly conferences in USA
http://www.warpstock.org/ and Europe http://www.warpstock.eu
The European site is done with TYPO3.
The development was made on local PC with eComStation and the live
web site is hosted by a professional hosting company on linux.
