If your question is: "Is it possible to influence enableFields() based
on startingpoint and recursive option", answer is no.

enableFields() are based on TCA ['ctrl'], which are global, and not
changeable on page level.

So it's afaik impossible to have different enableFields() for a table
based on page tree or plugin element settings.
