Hi,

as mentioned at many places not only by me, the status doesn't say about 
the real quality of an extension.
Furthermore it doesn't make any sense to have a status 'alpha' without 
the option to use it.

Using SVN seems easy with some experience but at first it's a bit 
complicated also depending on the software and second the whole 
enviroment how packets are organized is a bit unclear espacialy for 
newbies. I never used SVN for upload until now and would like to have a 
test-corner and a central information page. AFAIK there are information 
pages but not central and for newbies information perhaps isn't enough.
