By who - by it self?
In another CMS?
If the customer needs a feature it, he will pay. Or if its too expensive
he either decides to downgrade his demands or he decides to go with
another CMS.
But if the feature was already there, you would have a better chance
keeping that customer.
Of course you might be one of those who keep reinventing the wheel
because it pays good?

You might say that this and that isn't needed. But features might be
needed in the long run if you want TYPO3 to keep up with the competition.

5000€ was the issue - not the 500€. 5000€ can be a lot of money for a
feature for many customers.
I guess your focus is just on those customers who have the big bucks -
that might be the difference.

Not every customer will pay your price for their needs.
I would much rather want to say to a customer - 'Yes - no problem TYPO3
has this cool flexible extension.', than 'Sorry, but we can implement
this for 20000€'.
