I see what you are saying, and I know for myself that people (companies)
are complaining about TYPO3, there docs and what not...
However, google trends can only measure what has been written online,
not what is actually happening in a specific marked area. This is the
danger of google trends.
There are many companies with rock solid CMS systems
that don't even show up on trends, yet they are sold and used a lot.
It's
just that there marked doesn't like to blog, to tweet , to Hyve or to
Facebook (or name other news channels)
doesn't mean they are not popular in this area.
The underlaying mayor message of this thread however shows :
*) Developer community is currently not healthy.
*) Potential client hesitate more towards TYPO3 then a couple of years
ago.
The above cannot be solved by just paying developers, structural
changes need to happen
to make the developer community more healthy again. TYPO3 also needs
to know
where to position itself within the Open Source CMS market, I think
that this is currently
not very clear anymore (do we want to compare ourselves to Drupal, or
do we want
to compare ourself with Vignette??)
From a developer stand point of view, goals are very much clear, but
I don't remember (correct me if I am wrong)
the goal of TYPO3 in general, the direction to take...
