Sorry Ries, Google trends may or may not be a good tool for
comparison, but you're wrong here. Drupal 5 and (especially) Drupal 6--
I know nothing about Joomla--are being used for a LOT of work that
TYPO3 could be used for. There are plenty of large, sophisticated and
complex sites that have been built on-time and on-budget using Drupal
for satisfied clients. This is the only sensible basis for comparison,
and on this basis, Drupal and TYPO3 are very comparable (though each
has its own strengths and weaknesses to be sure).
This "enterprise system" language gets bandied around quite a bit on
the TYPO3 lists, but it's not very meaningful--as far as I can tell,
it's usually a way of claiming TYPO3's superiority to other products
without having to provide details. There is no shortage of
'enterprise' usage of Drupal, and simply asserting that TYPO3 is
incomparable to product A or product B does nothing for TYPO3. If you
want to say TYPO3 is better than some other product (and I agree that
it very often is), say HOW...
