I think they earn the right to attend the developer conference with prio
A and the business conference with prio B.
And if the financial situation does not allow people with prio B to
attend the conference so be it.

There is only a limited amount of cash.
And paying every core team member their trip results in:

- free entrance to the con: no real cost
- food (20 Eur)
- trainride/plane (150 Eur - mixed calculation)
- hotel room (150 Eur - keeping it low)

times 33 (number of core team members)
equals 10560 Euros for ONE event.

Double that with T3DD and tripple it for the US con.

Congrats, you just spent 50% of the overall budget on travel expenses.
But hey... we wanted to pay one... better two developers.
30 grand a year should do fine.
Whoops... out of money...

Get my point?

So yes, you have earned the right to attend the events.
What about me?
I have participated in TYPO3 meetings back till 2002 (first steering
meeting EVER (munich)).
I have set up the first developer meeting in 2003.
I have trained over 100 agencies that now use TYPO3.
I have led the first usergroup meeting together with JHH.

Do I also have the right to come for free?
