Then somebody, whom you even do not know, organizes the event and asks you, the core developer, to pay for participation. You already contributed your evenings and weekends to create this system. You took this time from your family, from your kids. You sat at Christmas trying to finish a feature that others requested. Now you have to pay also your own money to somebody, who did not do anything to develop this system. You have to pay to people who want to make profit from your work. This way you are being used and you are being used twice: once for your free work, secondly when you pay for the event. Is it fair? I think not.

Members of T3A do not develop this system, they get money because core developers do it! And developers are now forced also to pay. Core developers should be honored with these free entrances because they are the only, who let others earn money with TYPO3.

While I still agree I think the more important question is why a core
developer should attend a business conference.

Don't get me wrong, but DevDays are DevDays and business is business.
It's like Tennis and soccer - both sports but not really alike.

T3CON is targetted at decision makers and business people.
That's why we have the new developer track :)
