The patches do not get reviewed because there are too few core
developers. A non Core developer has no interest because his patches
have been on the Core waiting list for years. If you don't pay the work
then you should create at least a voucher system which give the
developer and tester a right to get his own patches into Core within few
days and not having _to wait for several years_! Why should someone be
motivated to contribute to the TYPO3 Core if his own patches are never
considered?

And I observe that others are prefered by some Core developers, and they
always get their patches in, and they are very content with the current
situation.

It is a deadlock situation for TYPO3.

> We also need a real testing team because relying on 1 or 2 review in a such complex system is completely irresponsible idea, especially given a huge increase in a number of contributions. But no one listens!!! Everyone just says: "We are cool, TYPO3 is cool, all cool, T3A is cool, we will get a cool v5 soon, all is cool..." but nothing is cool for more than a year already.
TYPO3 has become too big. It is a wrong decision to put so many
extensions as system extensions into the Core. Many more code parts of
TYPO3 should be put into extensions to the TER. Then more persons
(developoers and testers) could contribute more easily. Smaller parts
are much easier to understand than a big system.
It is a weird thing that the TYPO3 system is always getting bigger and
more complicated, and fewer persons work on it with less money being
paid to them.

I have mostly stopped to report bugs on the bugtracker. There seems to
be mostly no response and most patches (even containing bug fixes) are
just closed and do not come into TYPO3. The quality and usability will
never be improved if you just reject the patches! Why is no answer for
improvements given? This happens always because of lack of time.
