[TYPO3-dev] Ext kickstarter and backend form?

Hello,

sorry for that beginner question but I can't find my mistake in books or 
on the web so I'm wondering if it is my local problem here.

I want to start an extension in kickstarter just for test purposes 
(category frontend or frontend-plugin). I add a database table with only 
one checkbox-field (tiny int). I saved and installed that extension.

When I add that extension to a page I have no checkbox in backend!?

Shouldn't nearly every database field have a corresponding HTML-form 
element in the backend by default to manipulate the database tables?
