A year ago I proposed to have paid developers for TYPO3 v4. The answer was: "T3A does not want to pay for the development". I do not know, may be it is changed now.

We could look to Magento, for example. It is an open source but with a team of professional developers behind it. Have a look to trends: http://www.google.com/trends?q=magento%2Ctypo3 Magento guys not just market well, they have features planned and made fast and in time. In TYPO3 we have plan and no one fulfills them. This has to be changed if we want TYPO3 to keep up!
