I do not think this will help in his case. He got a error when RealURL tried to find the configuration. At this moment RealURl does not know yet if it is enabled or not. It needs configuration to determine this but it cannot find the configuration => error.

RealURL caching is disabled if there is a logged in BE user. This is specially made to prevent such errors.
