[TYPO3-dev] wizard add popup not closing

I want to relize a wizard type=popup and would expect the window to be 
closed after adding a new value and updating the related field. But 
instead the complete orginating and refreshed record is rendered in the 
popup window.
Can anybody confirm this "feature" and know if there is a work around?
