I'd suggest using a TypoScript condition like:

[globalVar = TSFE:page|type = 4]
config.cache_period = 3600
[end]

Somewhere in your template..

Masi,

I want to do it for a few hundred pages, and only for a certain page 
type, not the other types.

Possible, or should I look for alternative solutions?
