Thanks Jeff, I'll contact him.

My question was: for someone with moderate PHP/MySQL experience, would all
goals in this project
(http://typo3.org/development/gsoc2009/ideas/modular-community-system/) be
deliverable in one GSoC project? I'm a hard worker and quick learner, but
after reading through the documentation and tutorials, TYPO3 seems to have a
terribly imposing learning curve. The reason I'm sending this to everyone is
because most of you had to learn TYPO3 (besides the founders) at one point,
so you probably have a better idea how difficult it would be to get a grasp
strong enough to do this project.

Thanks,
Sean Clark

Hey Sean,
You can certainly discuss idea here as this tends to be a catch-all
list, but it might also be worth contacting Ingo Renner directly. He's
responsible for much of the initial work on the community extension and
you can get his email address from the project page.

A good portion of the TYPO3 community is off snowboarding this week so
responses might be a little slower than normal other than those of stuck
at home working ;)

Thanks,
Jeff Segars
