[TYPO3-dev] Removing backend module from left side menu

Hi,

i develop a backend module which should not be displayed in the left 
side TYPO3 menu.

The module is linked by another module so the BE user access is guaranteed.

It is possible to hide it in the left side menu? To remove the rights 
for the BE user is not a clean way and does not work because then the 
link from the other module doesn't work.

Any ideas? Perhaps a option in ext_localconf.php?
