Yes, I read it somwhere too. They also host a lot of other frameworks (scriptaculous, jquery, ...). The problem with their servers is that sometimes it takes too much time to connect to them. I think those servers are in US and connecting to US servers takes more time than to local servers.

Another problem with this solution that we cannot really depend on Google in this case. If Google suffenly cuts those server due to the economical crisis, TYPO3 will be broken.
