I read a lot of lists and I try to read all new posts. Having the same question in many lists makes me think that:
- the author does not know where to write, which means he did not clarify the problem for himself, which in turn is a half–way to solving it. There is very little sense even to read such message. If the person cannot decide where to post, his message is not yet ready to be posted
- the author did not care about the time other people spend reading duplicate posts. Why would I care to answer to someone who does not care about my time? The support is voluntary here, so I just ignore those who do not behave well according to my expectation (I admit my expectation can be too high sometimes). It is like this: the author is good to me, I am good to him. He is bad to me, I ignore him. Pure practical approach.

It is really a disappointment to open a message, load it and find that you read it five minutes ago in another list. It is a useless loss of time.

Mr. Harris: People say that you were the last person to speak with Jordon...
            Is that true?
Cameron: I don't know. Are you asking me if people say I was the last person
to talk to Jordon? Or are you asking me if I was the last person
            to talk to her?
Mr. Harris: I guess I'm asking if you were.
Cameron: I don't know.
