No. But as I think that XML is not a good storage format it's not my
first choice when it comes to this new feature. But this is not really
important. It could be XML though I prefer serialized arrays.

The configuration part could be done with XML, so I again don't see the
point. The whole TCA is configured via PHP. Why use a different format.

No. My main concern actually is plugin configuration. While FlexForms
are quite nice to allow editors to configuare a plugin via content
elements there are a few shortcomings. This I want to address.

Additionally I think that this simpler field type may be easier used
from TS. Less options will make a meaningful TS syntax possible.

I think I haven't made my point :(

I don't know where the whole TV stuff comes up now. Steffen, you brought
stuff like sections into play again.
