It's true that Drupal's scheduler (cron.php) can be called with a
browser, but there is also some degree of risk associated with the
fact that (in most Drupal installations) *anybody* can cause the
scheduler script to run. From this perspective at least, a scheduler
accessible only from the command line is a bit nicer...
