I had some skype discussions with Steffen today. First I decided to finish  
the patch, but now I think it requires to much discussions to get into 4.3.

I created a bug report [1] and attached my patch, which saves locks on a  
per-session basis.

If somebody thinks there's a change for 4.3, feel free to continue!
