[TYPO3-dev] Functional Change in 4.2.8 in RTE?

Hey I had a look at the changelog and these parts might look like they 
could have introduced that:

So please could the "maintainers of the mentioned patches" give some 
more information? I read the changesets but did not really see a remove 
of such functionality... I think it really was the update of htmlArea...
