[TYPO3-dev] Functional Change in 4.2.8 in RTE?

Hey List,
in XING currently there is a discussion why behavoiur of RTE in 4.2.8 
changed.
It is discussed, that the "direct file upload" when trying to link to a 
file is not possible anymore. Is this a side effect of the FF-Bugfixes?

Functional changes should have not been committed to 4.2?

Can anyone confirm that, or probably gif further information?

Going to  "read" the change/changesets on RTE in 4.2.8 now :)
