Not as far as I know, they are making a PHP based inteface and PHP based 
CR. But check here, http://forge.typo3.org/projects/show/package-typo3cr 
and here, http://flow3.typo3.org/documentation/slides/ for information.

As far as i know, you can put whatever kind of data you want in a CR.
