[TYPO3-dev] Views in Extensions

I'd love to be able to create some mysql views to support my new extension.

What impact would this have on configuration (ie could I just load them into
ext_tables.sql, as we don't need any backend access) and what impact do we
think it would it have on DBAL or other database-based installations?

Any experiences?

Fr. Simon
