[TYPO3-dev] sendmail_path works on Windows?

Hi all!

While looking to bug 8522 I found an interesting note about PHP "sendmail_path" option in PHP manual. Here it is:

This directive works also under Windows. If set, smtp, smtp_port and sendmail_from are ignored and the specified command is executed
====================

Can anybody confirm that it is true? If yes, our install tool is not exactly right in saying that sendmail_path is not used on Windows...
