I did not say that! Of course it always depends on the importance of a
bugfix, and in most situations it makes good sense.

But there are situations where bugfixes don't need to be ported. If you
translate this to saying goodbye to maintenance of the stable branch, you
have misunderstood me.

Instead of having rules for everything we're doing here, I rather prefer
that we just use our healthy mind to decide about such things...
