Hi Ben,

good idea to bring this up and have some discussions.

The problem imho is that sysexts are not in TER.
There could be an easy solution having them in TER only and installer asks 
the user for options:
- basic TYPO3
- TYPO3 using other DB engines
- BE-package
- FE-package
etc.

Making checks the user can specify and the exts to be included could be 
downloaded from TER automatic.
Anytime you can install more sysexts after the basic install using the 
installer again.
