This the locking feature which should prevent the "page is being 
generated" message is part of TYPO3 4.2-beta3 - what is the exactly 
TYPO3 release you're using?

In the install tool at "all configuration" you can define the 
"lockingMode" to be "simple", "flock" or "semaphore".
