Kate (KDE Editor) under LINUX and the cc_debug or the beko_debugster 
extension.

Kate is fast, knows about the charsets and PHP, and it does almost never 
crash. I can open several sessions with it.

I could not use Eclipse under LINUX x86_64, becauses it did very 
frequently crash.
