[TYPO3-dev] How to reload the BE-menu (in 4.2 and previous)

Hello,

in a BE-extension (pear) I'd like to reload the menu-frame. How can I do 
it so that it works for
* 4.1
* 4.2

Is there a default function what the backendSkin-API provides?
