The other point is, that the improvement itself is not what is needed. The
wrap belongs into the control of the TS developer. It was not a good idea
to put it into the control of extensions at all.

But a soft migration would be possible. The function should IMHO call TS
stdWrap or similar that can be configured from outside be TS. If nothing is
set, it would fall back to the old behaviour, so that compatibility is
given.
