[TYPO3-dev] Subversion and TYPO3

Hello,

I have been using an extension called "central file control" on some 
projects, where there was a requirement that all files for website 
content are managed centrally with subversion.

So the Clickmenu in the File>Filelist module is extended for SVN 
add/commit/update/rename/delete buttons, you can retrieve old versions, 
do diffs and revert to old version in the Filelist module etc. Files 
used in content elements (images, filelinks, pages:media etc) are 
changed to references of the versioned files, instead of copies placed 
in uploads/pics etc. So updating to a different revision of a file 
causes all content elements across the site toi display this file 
simultaneously, after cache refresh (for rewriting resized image to 
typo3temp, recalculating filelinks download size etc).

Perhaps the SVN integration part of the extension might also be useful 
for your use case and could be adapted to it. If you are interested in 
this extension just contact me, I can send you the documentation first 
so you can see whether it makes any sense for what you want to do.
