I find this sentence slightly ambiguous. Could you please clarify the 
following point: if the idea is to benefit from features introduced 
since PHP 5.0, does TYPO3 4.2 have a strict reliance on PHP 5.2.x or 
will it run with 5.0.x and 5.1.x too?

This is a very important point as far as hosting is concerned.
