An idea that came to my mind right now: Could this perhaps be useful for
the list-view? I remember that there has been some discussion about such
a feature a while ago, and somebody even started to implement it.
With plugins it would be possible to e.g. search party-records where the
name is stored in another table, or to query arbitrary fields,
configurable via TS or by the extension-author. I implemented something
similar for adding records to be-fields, I hope to be able to release a
first version today - just search the thread "Make selecting records via
AJAX possible (like GoogleSuggest)".
